For our final instalment we're collaborating with the Behind A Smile organisation, a non-profit clothing brand that designs their products to encourage people with mental disabilities and depression to speak out rather than suffering in silence. For more information check them out at https://www.behindasmile.co.uk/
They'll be selling their products on a stall at the night to raise money and we've allocated 100 tickets at a £1 that'll go straight to their charity to get the ball rolling. Our special guests on the night are Transcode and Bhrisc, our residents Mimic and Eyes Peeled will be bringing the support.
Hailing from Manchester (UK), Transcode is a dynamic and highly talented producer / DJ. With a passion for music and a thirst for audio perfection, his productions are diverse and intelligent. Transcode’s sound leans towards energetic & deep, driven techno but he certainly doesn’t limit his horizons, with an unquestionably unique ability to design deep and elaborate tracks that ignore the generic rules and constraints of genres.
As a creative artist his work has been acknowledged and supported up by some of the most prestigious labels and artists in the business. Recent support has come from a wide range of tastemaker DJs, such as Eric Prydz, Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Alan Fitzpatrick, Carl Craig, ANNA, Fur Coat, Wehbba, Shall Ocin, Andre Crom, Adrian Hour, Groove Armada, Adriatique & many more. His work has also been picked up by a host of Radio DJs including Anna Lunoe, B.Traits on BBC Radio 1 and Eric Prydz on his EPIC Radio show.
After only a few years honing his craft Bhrisc has already gained praise from DJs inside, and even outside the techno scene. His productions have previously been described as a cold, emotional and thudding detachment from reality and have been recognised early on, with tracks being supported by Mary Anne Hobbs on her BBC 6 Music Recommends show in 2015. Bhrisc is currently part of both the Coded Rhythm collective in Manchester where he is a Resident DJ, and the Abstruse team based in Leeds, UK. These residencies have helped him gain experience in setting the tone for a night, or closing it out ruthlessly. This has definitely paid off with recent stints in Berlin at Tresor, and Gorilla Manchester supporting Dense & Pika.
We look forward to partying with you! Off Grid.
