Antwerp Mansion, famously known for its music events has transformed into a new up and coming venue for the Arts. The mansion offers a safe space and support for underground creatives such as artists, writers, photographers and performers to share their unique and attention-grabbing work with Manchester. Say goodbye to the boring white cube and hello to the unusual framework of Antwerp Mansion!

The mansion offers a creative colourful environment to compliment the wacky off-beat artwork we want to include within our shows now and in the future. There are four different coloured rooms, a grand staircase and a dark theatre/gig space to use to exhibit work or use for performances. There is also a large smoking area.

We love all kinds of Performing Arts at the Mansion. We've done everything from immersive walkthrough theatre, photography or art exhibitions, plays, spoken word, dance performances and hosted events such as fire jam. We consider no idea too bizarre or controversial so get in touch if you would like to be part of one of our future events.

For exhibitions we encourage artists to spread out throughout the building and to find the most appropriate space for their work. We have relaxed flexible install and removal times and an open – minded approach to fixtures and fittings in most areas. In the few areas we don't allow screws/nails we have picture rails and chains to allow work to be quickly and easily hung.

For theatre or live music performance we use the gig room. It contains a 5x5m stage with removable drum riser and large music rig, two hidden side stage areas, basic stage lighting and club lighting with strobes and moving heads.

All events have a 'bring your own booze' policy although non alcoholic drinks will be available.
